A QA function has been created within the OneSurvey deployment module, allowing a quality assurance specialist to review the final design at the end of an installation. Using a tablet, they can compare the floor plan with the recorded final changes to check every icon, hardware, and cable. Typically, this person is either a field manager or someone with extensive installation experience.
If any issues like code violations, improper installations, or incorrect practices are found, the QA personnel can access a module containing before and after photos. They can take additional photos, as well as leave voice, video, and text comments. Once complete, the system generates a punch list in the project's QA module that outlines areas needing improvement.
Within the QA module is a detailed checklist for each item; for example, cabling may have 36 checkpoints. Users can select checkboxes to indicate issues if they don't want to leave additional comments. Field managers and technicians address these concerns and document their fixes with before and after photos using a survey module.
